Armagedonica Review

As you can see in Sci-Comics web, first page of Armagedonica is awesome and get’s you instantly. A good scene of action presenting humans as a great evil.

You know the scenario thanks to the sinopsis in the web, but firsts pages show you the demons fear of humans and the threat they constitute.

Human race has invaded planet Inferno and demons have surrended. Magic is forbiden and tecnology is replacing its utility.

I think it’s a great idea and a good beginning.

What happens next?

Well, Armagedonica reminds me “Babylon 5″: space, politicians, religion, diferent races… In this case we see two, demons and humans, but we’ll see more in battle for the freedom of Inferno and much more. I’ve been talking to the authors and I know more than I should. Believe me, there are really good things coming next.

Maybe this is what I like most in Armagedonica. You can foresee a huge and interesting history beneath the surface of these two numbers. It has a good beat, you dont get lost in the journey and every number finishes with a correct cliffhanger that I will not reveal.

Visually, the diferences between demons and humans are perfectly recognizable . They use blue steel, mechanic, cold… when humans and their technology are in action, but it turns into red and yellow, warm fire… when demons are the leading role.

But… there is always a but.

In two numbers I havent seen a leading character. Who’s gonna be the main character? I really dont know. Maybe Satan… but I cant say for sure. And precisely Satan needs a better design. As a so recognizable character I expected him more… iconic.

In spite of this, Armagedonica promises to be a really good comic. Like Babylon 5 it appears to be a whole plot where every piece has its place in a huge puzzle.

I recommend it.

Because they are friends.

And because it’s really good.

And hot news, now Sci-Comic offers you creating a new character with your face. Visit the web.
